Stars and Stripes 2027 21 EVO with Mercury 300 Pro XS

Kevin walks a 21 EVO headed to the Lowcountry, and this one has Lake X numbers.

The owner is a repeat customer who loved his Vantage and wanted more room — everything the Vantage did, plus the range to go outside when he wants to. Stars and Stripes Blue on the hull over Whisper Grey, wrapped on a Ramlin trailer with a stainless axle and a spare hub.

Mercury ran the prop test at Lake X on this boat: three props, and depending on prop, pitch, and load, it runs 64 to 69 miles an hour. A Mercury 300 Pro XS with DTS on a Sea Star 12-inch jackplate with Sea Star Pro tilt steering.

A Garmin GPSMAP 8616xsv with a 943xsv mounted below it, a Force Kraken brushless trolling motor on the port nose, and a removable LiveScope pole off the port side. The stand-up skinny console sits at the height the owner wanted, with six flush rod holders, a toe kick, powder-coated grab rails on each side, and a color-matched composite console door. Llebroc chairs, and a West Coast style lean post with a livewell under an acrylic lid and four rod holders set high on the backrest. Twin livewells with Gemlux fittings and recirc, both finished in light blue.

The deck extension is built like a removable casting platform — take it out when you don't want it, snap it down to the turnbuckles when you do. Satin black texture powder coat on the lean post, aft seating, wheel, grab bars, and cup holders. Mystic White cushions with white diamond stitching, black rub rail with a black insert, blue under-gunnel lighting, and a YETI 65 aft.

Kevin covers what the 21 EVO is underneath all that: a 14-degree hull at 21 feet 6 inches with an 8-foot beam, a 90-gallon fuel cell, up to 120 gallons of livewell capacity, seven-person capacity, and a draft of 10 to 13 inches with people and gear. Quiet below the waterline, so the hull is as silent as the brushless trolling motor pulling it.
