Overview

Shallow-minded performance.

The 17 EVO V delivers unmatched performance in shallow waters — draft, agility, and versatility for every adventure.

Every one is built to order in Longwood — one boat at a time, around the way you actually fish. Nothing on this page is a stock configuration.

The hull

Built for the water it was drawn for.

14° of deadrise is the East Cape signature — enough V to handle a bay-day chop without beating you up, shallow enough to work a 5.5"–7.5" draft. It rides quiet, poles silent, and gets on plane fast.

Questions

Before you build one.

How shallow can the 17 EVO V actually run?

Draft runs 5.5"–7.5" depending on how she's loaded and rigged. Numbers on a page are one thing though — tell us the water you fish and we'll tell you honestly whether this is the right hull for it.

How is the 17 EVO V different from the 17 EVO X?

Same 17-foot platform. The 17 EVO V runs 14° deadrise with a 5.5"–7.5" draft; the 17 EVO X runs 2° with a 4"–7" draft. Deadrise is the real decision — flatter gets skinnier, more V rides better when it kicks up.

What power does it take?

60–90 HP. Every boat ships as a package — boat, engine, trailer and rigging, priced once and up front. Suzuki, Mercury and Yamaha are all on the table; we'll walk through what actually suits how you run.

How many people can I fish?

Rated capacity is 3. Fuel is 20 gal, which is what sets your real range on a long run.

What's standard, and what's extra?

The ready-to-fish package below is standard on every 17 EVO V — engine, trailer and rigging included. Everything past that (electronics, trolling motor, jack plate, livewell config, AwlGrip color, layout) is yours to choose in the builder.

How long does a build take, and what happens next?

Start a build online and a real person reviews it within one business day — no automated funnel. From there we confirm layout, power and finish before anything gets laid up. You’re welcome to come see the boat on the floor.
