East Cape build floor in Longwood, Florida
Why East Cape

How we build.

One hull at a time, for one owner, the same way since 2004. This is the walk through the shop — the process, the materials, and the care that make an East Cape worth waiting for.

The process

Six stages. No shortcuts at any of them.

Every boat on our floor belongs to somebody before the first layer of glass goes down. That changes how everything gets done.

01 — Design

Built around you before it's built at all.

Layout, console, power, colors, electronics and rigging get decided with you up front — in the builder, on the phone, or standing on the floor. The boat that ships is the boat that was designed for you, down to the bolt.

02 — Infusion

Vacuum-infused composite. Since day one.

Hand-layup is faster and cheaper. Vacuum infusion is slower, harder to master — and produces a lighter, stronger, more consistent hull that lasts decades longer. Vinyl-ester resin throughout, cored construction, carbon and Kevlar where they actually help rather than as marketing.

03 — Assembly

One boat. One team. No line.

Decks bonded, hatches fit, consoles hung — by a crew that has been doing it together for years, not a rotating production line. 316 stainless hardware and military-spec switches, because the parts you touch every trip shouldn't be the parts that fail.

04 — Rigging

Wired like we have to service it. Because we do.

Clean looms, labeled runs, serviceable access. Suzuki, Mercury or Yamaha power; Garmin, Simrad or Lowrance at the helm; Power-Pole, Minn Kota, JL Audio — every brand on the boat is one we'd run on our own.

05 — Sea trial

We run it before you do.

Every boat gets propped, tuned and run by us until the numbers are right and it feels the way an East Cape should. If something isn't perfect, it doesn't leave. Then we demo it for you.

06 — Delivery

Dialed in, walked through, backed for life.

You get the full walkthrough — systems, trailer, care — and a build that ships with its walkaround video. When she comes back years from now, the same team services her. That's the relationship, not the transaction.

The standards

What never changes, boat to boat.

Materials

Nothing private-labeled

VE resin, cored and fully infused laminate, AwlGrip finishes, SeaDek, Continental and Ram-Lin trailers. Brands owners trust on their own boats.

Consistency

22 years, same ownership

1,700+ boats built one at a time under the same roof and the same ownership since 2004. The team that builds yours answers the phone in year ten.

Pricing

One number, up front

Boat, engine, trailer and rigging priced as a package — not a base price that doubles by the time you can launch it.

Rigged with the best

What goes on the boat matters as much as the hull.

Outboards, electronics, anchors, poles, pads and the trailer under it — the brands below are on our boats because they hold up.Why each one →
