17 EVO V Lite
Simple where it should be. Serious where it matters.
Simple where it should be. Serious where it matters.
The 17 EVO V Lite is a simplified, no-hatch version on the proven 17 EVO V hull. Rugged, simple, easy to maintain.
Every one is built to order in Longwood — one boat at a time, around the way you actually fish. Nothing on this page is a stock configuration.
Built for the water it was drawn for.
14° of deadrise is the East Cape signature — enough V to handle a bay-day chop without beating you up, shallow enough to work a 5"–7" draft. It rides quiet, poles silent, and gets on plane fast.
The numbers, straight.
Specs are for a standard build. Options, power and rigging change weight and draft — we'll give you the real numbers for your configuration.
What comes on it.
The package price includes the boat, trailer and rigging — not a base number that doubles by the time you can launch.

Not a watered-down East Cape. A more focused one.
The Lite brings the 17-foot platform back to what matters most: a clean layout built around the cast, carrying the same materials and one-at-a-time build quality as every craft we ship. Less weight. More intent.
Every inch earns its keep.

Explore the 17s
Same family, different intent. The honest difference is hull and draft — the rest is how you fish.

Before you build one.
How shallow can the 17 EVO V Lite actually run?
Draft runs 5"–7" depending on how she's loaded and rigged. Numbers on a page are one thing though — tell us the water you fish and we'll tell you honestly whether this is the right hull for it.
How is the 17 EVO V Lite different from the 17 EVO V?
Same 17-foot platform. The 17 EVO V Lite runs 14° deadrise with a 5"–7" draft; the 17 EVO V runs 14° with a 5.5"–7.5" draft. Deadrise is the real decision — flatter gets skinnier, more V rides better when it kicks up.
What power does it take?
30–60 HP. Every boat ships as a package — boat, trailer and rigging, priced once and up front. Suzuki, Mercury and Yamaha are all on the table; we'll walk through what actually suits how you run.
How many people can I fish?
Rated capacity is 3 people. Fuel is Up to 20 gal, which is what sets your real range on a long run.
What's standard, and what's extra?
The ready-to-fish package below is standard on every 17 EVO V Lite — trailer and rigging included. Everything past that (electronics, trolling motor, jack plate, livewell config, AwlGrip color, layout) is yours to choose in the builder.
How long does a build take, and what happens next?
